Terms of Service
Last updated: June 28, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Book The Bed (the "Service"), operated by Book The Bed ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing the Service or making a booking, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About our service — we act as an agent
Book The Bed is an online travel agency. We let you search for and book travel products — accommodation (hotels) and flights — that are provided by independent third-party suppliers (hotels, airlines and their consolidators), sourced through our travel-technology partners.
We act solely as an intermediary (agent) that facilitates your booking between you and the supplier. Your contract for the travel product itself is with that supplier, on the supplier's own terms and fare or rate rules. Suppliers are independent contractors and are not our agents or employees. The supplier is responsible for delivering the hotel stay or flight you book.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract to make a booking. You are responsible for ensuring the details you provide (names exactly as they appear on travel documents, dates, contact information) are accurate. Errors in passenger or guest names may make a booking unusable, and supplier change fees may apply.
3. Bookings, payment and who collects it
When you complete a booking, you authorise the charge for the total amount shown — the room rate or airfare, any taxes and fees, optional extras you select, and less any discount applied. Prices are confirmed at the time of booking and may change beforehand due to live availability and supplier fare rules.
Payment is collected through our travel-technology and payment partner, which acts as the merchant of record for the supplier portion of your booking. A booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation and a booking reference (and, for flights, once the ticket is issued). You are responsible for reviewing the rate, dates, occupancy, fare class and policies before confirming.
4. Prices, taxes and our service fees
Prices are shown in the currency you select and include the supplier amount plus applicable taxes and fees. Any booking or service fee charged by Book The Bed compensates us for the search, booking and support we provide at the time of booking and is non-refundable, even where the supplier refunds the room rate or airfare — except where retaining such a fee is prohibited by applicable law.
5. Cancellations, changes and refunds
Cancellation, change and refund terms are set by the supplier and the applicable rate or fare rules, and are shown to you before you book (for example "Free cancellation", "Non-refundable", or a fare's change and refund conditions). Where a refund is due under those rules, it is processed to your original payment method by the party that collected the payment. Our role is to surface the supplier's terms and to help you submit and coordinate a cancellation or change — not to set or guarantee the outcome. Full details are in our Cancellation Policy.
6. Flights — additional terms
Flights are governed entirely by the operating airline's fare rules. Many fares (especially the lowest economy fares) are non-refundable and non-changeable, or allow changes only for a fee or as airline credit. Where a flight is changed or cancelled by the airline (a schedule change or disruption), the airline is responsible for the applicable refund or re-accommodation; we will help you request it. You are responsible for holding valid passports, visas, and any health or entry documents required for your itinerary — we do not verify these, and airlines may deny boarding without them. Selling flights may require travel-seller registration in certain jurisdictions; where we are not yet registered to sell to residents of a given location, that booking may be unavailable.
7. Your responsibilities
You must comply with the supplier's rules and check-in requirements (such as minimum age, a valid ID and the payment card, a security deposit, or airline check-in and baggage rules), and arrive in time. The supplier may refuse service or boarding for breach of its policies or missing documents; we are not responsible for such decisions.
8. Supplier independence and disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, or breaches of any supplier, nor for the quality, safety, or delivery of the travel product itself. This includes, without limitation, schedule changes, delays, cancellations, overbooking, denied boarding, downgrades, or the accuracy of supplier-supplied content (photos, descriptions, ratings, and amenities). We are also not liable for events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, strikes, government action, civil unrest, health emergencies, or other force majeure.
9. Pricing and content accuracy
We work to keep prices and travel-product information accurate, but content is supplied by third parties and may contain errors or change without notice. If an obvious pricing error occurs, we may cancel the affected booking and refund you in full.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or unforeseeable loss arising from your booking or travel, and our total aggregate liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid to us for that booking. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
